S.A. trade to U.S. under threat

R35 billion SA exports are at stake in a ‘review’ which was triggered by a complaint from US movie, music, software and book publishing companies saying SA is not protecting intellectual property.

The exports threatened include – but go beyond – exports to America under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (Agoa).

Dates for the review process have not yet been set.
